Working together from our studios in Glasgow, Scotland and Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Working reflects our individual approaches to design and production and allows us to interrogate each other’s understanding of fabrics, art and design history, uniform constructions and an expanded notion of workwear. The project name is made up of the initials WK and RN and garments are produced in England and Japan.
Italian cotton dogtooth fabric has a subtle coloured grid over a smaller black and white check.
Split trapezoidal shoulder yokes and symmetrical flapped chest pockets. Standless collar combines elements of camp, penny, funnel, club, mandarin, stub, and shawl collars.
Inside faced placket cuffs.
Buttons are made from cellulose acetate derived from recycled cigarette butts.
